Full-time, Direct Hire! This is technical services support work with responsibility for assisting with the coordination of processing payment check runs. The incumbent has prime responsibility for the installation, operation and maintenance of user desktop computing equipment and peripherals, and end-user training.
Additional responsibilities include assisting in the daily operation of the Client data center, installation and support of desktop computing equipment, installation and support of printers, tracking and ordering of supplies and spare equipment, and the development and maintenance of Operations documentation.
Assists with processing of checks and advices, as well as year-end 1099 forms.
Coordinates, organizes and places supply orders for the IT division.
Documents/maintains equipment inventories and expendable supply stocking levels.
Provides orientation to new employees and advises and/or instructs network users on operational aspects of the computer operating system.
Provides Client staff with hands-on and phone support for non-routine desktop computing problems responding to HelpDesk requests. Recommends to users procedures and/or instructions for use with computer systems (e.g., short cuts, suggestions, alternatives).
For more complex problems, gathers details through field and bench work, determines the seriousness of the problem, and applies experience to diagnose and resolve the issue.
Exercises personal planning and time management of assigned project phases and maintenance activities.
Configures, installs and maintains desktop computing and printing equipment.
Communicates user problems to appropriate developer or network staff.
Prepares documentation of operating and maintenance procedures for other IT Operations personnel to support the day to day operation of the Client automated systems.
Assists with the daily tape archiving process.
Provides support for tablet and smart phone devices including integration into the Client network infrastructure.
Assists with client OS testing, support and configuration for new and existing Operating Systems.
Provides support for the training lab configuration and setup including custom classroom communication applications.
Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications: Four (4) years of experience working in a computer operations environment providing a solid working knowledge of computer operations plus nine (9) college credits in Computer Science; or other equivalent experience and/or training demonstrating comparable knowledge. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. from floor to desk surface. Two good employment references. Mature work ethic.
Preferred qualifications: An Associates degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field
