The Paralegal drafts closing documents and helps coordinate closings, drafts and coordinates filing of pleadings in federal and state courts, coordinates fair hearings and administrative hearings for recipients of federal benefits, assists with rulemaking and monthly board meetings and provides paralegal support to attorneys.

Assist in drafting loan and regulatory documents, as well as pleadings, motions, correspondence and affidavits for attorney review
Coordinate closings among buyers, sellers, lenders, and attorneys
Review title work and surveys for closings
Record discharges, mortgages and other regulatory documents
Serve as neutral liaison with the hearing officers and clients
Draft notices and correspondence regarding the hearings
Schedule hearings
Obtain and organize exhibits for hearings
Draft final decisions based upon recommended decisions from hearing officers
File papers with court as necessary
Track deadlines, payment plans and post-judgment work
Prepare contracts and amendments for attorney review
Coordinate rulemaking in accordance with rulemaking checklist
Prepare initial drafts of rulemaking documents
Coordinate delivery of materials to AG’s office and other state offices
Point of contact for the Commissioners, the public and Staff regarding monthly Board Meetings
Coordinates publishing of monthly board meetings in the papers
Collects reports and prepares monthly board packet for attorney review
Prepares monthly board meeting agenda for attorney and Director review
Attends monthly board meetings and takes minutes
Submits expenses and annual reports with the Secretary of State
General Paralegal work

$20.48/hr.

Requirements
Two employment references; Comparable experience; Mature work ethic; Legal research skills; MS Office; HS Diploma or equivalent
