Associate Computer Programmer in Augusta, ME
Full-time, Contract to Hire opportunity as this well-known and respected company, offering an excellent starting wage and very robust benefits package upon hire!
Entry-level, with primary responsibilities to include extracting information from various databases; working with various application packages utilized by the company. Will also test programs and applications, write documentation of program changes or test results, and assist other staff members in their projects. Respond to ad-hoc data requests; create queries, reports or data extracts as needed. Train end-users on proper use of applications. Prepare test data and execute test cases to prove validity of programming logic and simulate errors to determine accuracy of systems. Prepare documentation to guide operating personnel and other tasks as assigned.

Knowledge of MS Office Suite is required; excellent customer service skills to interact with end-user community; understanding of relational database organization and access techniques; ability to write program documentation procedures, as well as write a program or a script from functional spec's. Must be a strong team player and have the ability to present ideas, methods, procedures and instructions clearly and effectively, orally and written.
Two good employment references; Mature work ethic; Comparable experience; Associates Degree preferred, but experience will be considered. HS Diploma or equivalent required.
Front End Web Developer in Bangor, ME

In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining websites that sell the products and services of our clients.

Tasks to include:

-Working as part of a team to create high impact website designs that engage, attract and sell
-Design and develop intuitive user interfaces with the goal of ease of content consumption
-Implement responsive design for multiple devices (e.g. tablets, phones, desktops)
-Write clean, standards-compliant HTML, CSS and JavaScript that follow SEO best practices

This is a full time position where pay and benefits are negotiable and will depend on qualifications and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 to $18.00 /hour
What you will need to be considered for this position:

-Ability to generate user-friendly websites that follow supplied guidelines
-A strong understanding of typography and color-theory
-Ability to implement mobile/tablet best practices using responsive design
-Understanding of and ability to implement SEO best practices into web designs
-Willingness and desire to learn new techniques and technologies
-Ability to test your own work and following QA processes

Preferred Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in new media, graphic design, interaction design, visual communications or advertising
-Experience developing websites using WordPress and/or other open source PHP based CMS systems
-3-5 years of experience in a deadline-driven environment
