Cabinet/Bench Carpenter in Bangor, ME 04401
Bangor Area Staffing is seeking experienced Cabinet/Bench Carpenter candidates for our industrial cabinet making client. Ideal candidates will have finish carpentry and/or cabinet making experience, yet our client is willing to train candidates with some carpentry experience. Cabinet installation experience a plus.

This Contract to Permanent position's pay rate is based on experience, $13.00 to $18.00 per hour.
Schedule: Typically 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday thru Friday.
You must be self-motivated, hardworking and a team player. Must have carpentry skills and experience with woodworking/carpentry tools. Must be able to meet physical requirements of position, lift up to 65 lbs, stand for long periods, crouch, bend, reach, and fine hand motor skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Minimum HS diploma or equivalent.

Bangor Area Staffing is seeking candidates an immediate need for a Landscape/Carpentry/Clean-up Worker. Assist our client who runs a full-service landscape-construction business with spring clean up, new plantings, mulch, putting up new fence, building a deck, creating a patio, or doing general maintenance.

Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, start 6:30 am. Pay based on experience, $12-$16 an hour.
Candidates must be able to use a variety of types of machinery and tools. Must be able to lift up to 65lbs, reach, grasp, stand for long periods, crouch. Previous hardscape, carpentry/construction experience a plus. Previous snowplow experience also a plus for candidates interested in a year-round position. Must have the ability to follow direction and use proper safety techniques. Work as a team.

Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
HS Diploma or equivalent. Must meet background requirements.

Shifts Currently Available: 3rd shift, 11 pm to 7 am - Sunday thru Thursday

Potential Upcoming Shifts : 2nd shift, 3 pm to 11 pm - Monday thru Friday

Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
Test operation of machines periodically
Fix issues that might occur during the shift
Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
Maintain activity logs

Working knowledge of machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.) preferred
Understanding of production procedures
Ability to read manuals
Analytical skills
Attention to detail
Teamwork and communication skills
Physical stamina and strength
High school diploma or equivalent

Bangor Area Staffing is recruiting for experienced Welders / Metal Fabricators for our manufacturing client. You will be responsible in assisting in the development of various metal fabrication and welding processes. Performing various task including the fabrication, assembly and welding of structural metal products, such as metal frameworks or shells, metal sub-assemblies and various metal products.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm; $20.00 an hour. This three month position could turn into a permanent opportunity with full benefits for the right candidates.

Tasks to include:

Fabricate large and small metal parts in accordance to blueprints and schematics
Welding large and small metal parts in accordance to blueprints and schematics
Material Handing of metal parts by means of hoist, gantry crane, fork truck, carts or by hand
Performing grinding, cutting, sanding, fitting, forming and welding task
Developing written fabrication and weld procedures and processes
Performing routine maintenance on fabrication and welding equipment
You must bring:

Associates Degree in welding technology is preferred or equivalent experience
Ability to pass a welding and fabrication test
Minimum 1-5 years of manufacturing experience
Minimum 1 years’ experience in a metal manufacturing environment
Minimum 1 years’ experience in a metal fabrication & welding
Proficient welding with GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SMAW, welding processes
Experience with oxy fuel, plasma arc, or laser beam cutting processes
Proficient with grinding, cutting, sanding and use of various metal hand tools
Use monitoring and measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gages, etc.).
Proficient with Microsoft Office Works (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and specifications.
Strong work ethic.
Meet background check requirements.
