Overall Summary: To assist in planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Dietary Department in accordance with current federal. state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing facility: assure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the dietary department is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
Full job description will be provided when resume received. Some tasks to include:
-Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the Dietary Department, its programs and activities.
-Ensures dietary department and all food storage areas are maintained in a sanitary and orderly fashion.
-Completes resident / family interviews for determining likes / dislikes of residents.
-Coordinates with Dietician on facility policies and procedures and meeting resident needs.
-Scheduling, hiring, inventory
-Ensure procedures done per facility standards/requirements.
-Back-up cooking as needed
-Graduate of a State-approved course in food service supervision; has 3+ years training and experience in food service supervision and management, equivalent to the above requirements.
-Be able to continual walking, sitting, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
-Must be able to meet all background check requirements plus provide proof of immunizations, i.e. MMR, etc.
