Full-time, Contract to Hire, career opportunity!
Position provides information/education to tenants in regards to maintaining their independent living status; serving as a "connector" to social service resources available within the area. The right candidate will establish positive and productive working relationships, while adhering to the company's professional obligations.
Identify tenant problems as they may change, and work with property management staff, families and local community social service and resource agencies to address issues
Assist tenants in obtaining the services and benefits needed to maintain independence and compliance with lease obligations
Develop contacts with local social service and other resource agencies and refer tenants when appropriate
Provide tenant education on leasing and residential living, application procedures, client rights, etc. and advocate as appropriate
Recruits volunteers and organizations who can contribute to the tenants; develop and implement activities and services they may be interested in
Provide required reporting to company management
Generate tenant contact records, including record of tenant contact and related party or service provider; ensure documentation meets HUD standardized requirements and timely submission
The ideal candidate will have a degree, specialized course work or prior experience in the social service field; able to travel in a 30 mile radius to properties; and the ability to work independently. If this sounds like the job for you, don't wait, apply today!
