Full-time, potential Direct Hire opportunity for a Benefits Specialist!

This role is crucial in supporting our Client's HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various HR disciplines, including payroll and benefits administration.

Duties:

Assist with all aspects of benefits administration - new enrollments, terminations, ACA eligibility, resolving discrepancies with carriers and payroll, and answering benefit-related questions
Process monthly billings from insurance providers-review for accuracy, codes, and advances for payment; process changes within deadlines
Assist with processing employee terminations and evaluations
Conduct exit and stay interviews
Provide turnover and retention statistics
Assist with Unemployment claims
Manage employee recognition programs
Assist with policy reviews and edits
Other HR related duties

$25 - $27/hr., DOE; Full benefit package offered upon hire
Requirements
5 yrs in Human Resources, with benefits administration experience needed. Working knowledge of MS Office, strong communication skills; Associates degree preferred
HR Assistant in Augusta, ME
Description
Full-time, possible Contract to Hire! Mon - Fri, 7:30/8 am to 3:30/4 pm. This is a multi-faceted role and will entail the following:

Maintain/update employee records and HR databases
Benefit administration tasks
Assist employees with benefit enrollment and changes
Assist in coordinating open enrollment, including distributing materials and assisting employees with elections
Process benefits-related paperwork and maintain records
Track eligibility and enrollments for benefits programs
Assist in processing and tracking of FMLA, disability, and workers' compensation claims
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Two employment references; Mature work ethic; Comparable experience; HS Diploma or equivalent; HR and/or Administrative experience
Payroll Specialist/HR Assistant in Old Town, ME
Description
The BASS team is recruiting an experienced Payroll/HR Specialist for our client, a local manufacturing business. Lots of variety in this position! You will ensure the timely flow of all payroll information, as well as assist with various HR related duties.

The typical schedule for this position is Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Starting pay $24-25/hr, depending on experience. Our client offers benefits once evaluation requirements are met.

Some duties include:

-Maintain all payroll data collection systems and verify input data
-Verify deductions for all associate benefit programs; code and approve invoices for payment
-Prepare weekly payroll reports
-Maintain employment forms and personnel files
-Answer employee questions regarding pay, benefits, etc.
-Assist as backup to new hire orientations
-Assist with accounting clerk duties, answer phones, or order office supplies as needed
Requirements
Qualifications

-Candidates should have previous payroll and human resources experience
-Must be proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel
-Strong attention to detail
-Accurate data entry skills
